Michael Alijewicz recently received his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in English Literature. He currently resides in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he is revising his dissertation for publication. He works on planning as a form of narrative in the Renaissance (early modern is what literary critics and historians call the time period now). The work connects architecture to text in order to suggest a multi-media narrative Aesthetic that relies on a basis of intermingling possibility. "I might go to the store today," for example, implies the many potential ways one might go to the store, while also offering one likely direction for the future.
Michael grew up in South Florida, believes in lots of weird things, and even exercises once in a while.
He misses teaching in a classroom, but believes that education never ends.
If you feel like grabbing a beer and relaxing, just stop him on the street or email him any time.
